What to bid
Rough bid guideWe have no auction results for this exact reference yet, so we don't suggest bid levels.
Bought here, the buyer's premium, shipping, and import VAT and duty to Denmark add about 64% to the hammer. Stop at about USD 6,900 and you pay 20% less than a dealer's USD 14,224: a fair discount for buying without a dealer's warranty or return. A rough guide from the 20 most similar Rolex Yacht Master listings (USD 14,224 – 15,553), not the same reference; the listing doesn't say steel or gold, so we take the cheaper quarter of what dealers ask.
Before you bidfive checks
- The seller guarantees in writing that the watch is genuine and takes it back if it is not.
- The photos show the case back, clasp, and the serial and reference numbers between the lugs. Ask for them if not.
- You know every fee: the buyer's premium (often 20–25% online), shipping and insurance, and import VAT.
- "New", "polished" and "electronically tested" prove nothing: polished means it has been worked on, and an electronic test checks gold, not a watch.
- Decide your maximum before the sale and don't go above it.
